CRU @ the Annex by Napa’s Elite Vineyard 29 to Open Summer 2016

Vineyard 29February 16, 2016, Napa, CA – Oxbow Public Market, anchoring the popular Oxbow District of downtown Napa, has announced that Chuck and Anne McMinn, proprietors of Vineyard 29, one of Napa Valley’s most prominent wine estates, will open CRU @ the Annex at the Market in the Summer of 2016.

CRU @ the Annex will offer a casual wine experience where both locals and visitors can enjoy CRU and Vineyard 29 wines, including cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir and sauvignon blanc. Designed by celebrated firm Erin Martin Design, CRU @ the Annex will employ over 2000 square feet, with both inside and outside spaces along the Napa River. CRU @ the Annex will feature intimate and communal seating, intriguing art and enhanced hospitality.

CRU @ the Annex will also partner with Oxbow Public Market merchants to offer bites paired with their wine offerings, and provide a welcoming space to meet with friends, family and business associates while enjoying the best in Napa Valley wine and food. In addition, CRU @ the Annex will provide a new private event space for the bustling Oxbow Public Market.

Vineyard 29 was founded in 1989 and acquired by Chuck and Anne McMinn in 2000 when the McMinns purchased the 29 Estate and the Aida Estate vineyards. Since the release of its first vintage, Vineyard 29 has been determined to produce the best wines possible, reflecting all the beauty and quality of their grapes. They rely on unmatched vineyard sites and classic winemaking techniques to create 29 Estate, Aida estate and CRU wines. Each of their wines is handcrafted in small lots in their technologically sophisticated, gravity-flow winery and caves in St. Helena.

About Oxbow Public Market

Oxbow Public Market is located in the historic Oxbow District of downtown Napa and has become the local gathering place for great food and wine in the Napa Valley. The 40,000 square foot marketplace, which includes a scenic outdoor deck with seating along the Napa River, features a diverse tenant mixture of local food vendors, artisan cafes and an organic produce outlet for local farms. Oxbow Public Market is open seven days a week, from 9:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Saturday and until 6:00pm on Sundays. Some businesses (like the juice bar, coffee and breakfast spots and bakeries) open earlier and some (all restaurants) close later. It is recommended you check hours with individual merchants.   1. Recently the McMinns and Vineyard 29 have been in news a couple of times and in each of the news articles there has been no mention of their very talented wine maker Keith Emmerson. Give credit where credit is due.
