Quelene Slattery Albatross Ridge 600MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. – February 9, 2016 – Monterey County’s family-owned Albatross Ridge is happy to announce the appointment of Quelene Slattery to director of sales. Slattery will oversee the sales program for Albatross Ridge’s portfolio of estate-grown Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, while working with its existing distributor partners, and establishing Albatross Ridge in new markets throughout the United States.

A seasoned professional with more than 20 years of wine-industry sales experience, Slattery has established herself as an expert at growing distributor and trade relationships. She has held key positions at several iconic wineries, including almost a decade at Grgich Hills Estate, where she oversaw national accounts and was the Southern California division manager. In addition, Slattery has held various regional sales positions with Sean Minor Wines in Napa Valley, King Estate Winery in Oregon, and was the Southern California sales manager for both Gundlach Bundschu and Beaulieu Vineyards. She began her career working directly for the legendary Jack and Jaime Davies at Schramsberg Vineyards, and the Trefethens, experiences she credits with giving her a love of the wine industry, and a passion for representing family-owned and operated wineries like Albatross Ridge.

“We are a winery that exclusively makes small-production, estate-grown wines,” says Albatross Ridge Founder and CEO Brad Bowlus. “Quelene shares our values, and she understands that our focus is on the quality of our placements. Just as important, over the course of her career, she has built phenomenal relationships with our ideal customer base. She is the perfect person to tell our story.”

“Among sommeliers and other industry insiders, Albatross Ridge has already earned a reputation as one of California’s most exciting new wineries,” says Slattery. “I’m excited to help bring Albatross Ridge to a wider audience in California, and to introduce our wines to wine lovers in select markets around the country.”
