Executive Director to Step Down, Search Begins for Replacement

Santa Rosa, CA – Feb. 2, 2016 – Sonoma County Vintners (SCV), the membership association serving as the leading voice of Sonoma County’s acclaimed winemaking community, today announced that Executive Director Carolyn Stark has resigned for personal reasons, effective February 2. The board of directors has begun a search for a new executive director and will name an interim leader at the Association’s annual meeting later this month.

“We appreciate Carolyn’s contributions to Sonoma County Vintners since joining the organization last year and wish her very well,” said Caroline Shaw, president of the SCV board and Chief Marketing Officer at Jackson Family Wines. “We will soon name an interim executive director and anticipate a smooth transition while our search begins for a replacement. We are grateful to the entire SCV staff, and our members across Sonoma County, for their continued dedication and passion.”

Sonoma County Vintners will hold its 2016 Annual Meeting as planned on Wednesday, Feb. 17. The meeting will be held from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa, CA, followed by a member reception and affiliate tradeshow.
