LaksSonomaTastingRoomExteriorSonoma, Calif.—Lake Sonoma Winery has opened a new tasting lounge on the historic Sonoma Plaza. Lake Sonoma Winery was founded in 1977. The new home will offer fans, followers and club members a warm, welcoming space to enjoy wine in the heart of Sonoma’s downtown shopping district.

“Lake Sonoma Winery has a nearly 40-year reputation of quality wines from Sonoma’s best appellations. We are excited to once again host guests and welcome new friends and family to explore our wines,” said Tyler Galts, president of Lake Sonoma Winery.

Continuing Lake Sonoma’s family-owned tradition and focus on Sonoma’s top wine-growing regions, the Stewart Family, who acquired the winery in 2012, established the tasting room to welcome enthusiasts of both Lake Sonoma and Envolve wines at 134 Church Street, tucked off 1st Street West, along the Sonoma Plaza.

Just steps away from popular restaurants and shops, Winemaker Kat Adams calls the space, “A friendly stop to taste and experience the real Sonoma while you stroll the square or wait for dinner reservations.”

Filled with natural light, the spacious room is built for comfort with intimate tables and space for groups. With an open A-frame floor plan, exposed dark wood beams and high-top tables of galvanized steel and natural wood surround a marble kitchen-style island serving as a tasting bar. Casual cushioned sofas and leather chairs add an easy lounge feel to the space. A wall of glass doors opens to the patio and fire pit while windows along the back bar add more natural light. A private tasting room accommodates groups up to eight with advance reservations.

The Lake Sonoma Winery tasting room at 134 Church Street in Sonoma is open seven days a week 11 am to 6 pm. A tasting flight of five wines is $15. Wines by the glass are also available from $8.50 to $14. Club members receive additional perks on both wine and tastings. For reservations, call 707-721-1979, email hmoll@lakesonomawinery.com or visit www.lakesonomawinery.com/purpose for more information.
