NEW YORK, NY – Taste Wine Company, an innovative new wine shop in the East Village, will make buying wine this Valentine’s Day the easiest it’s ever been and take the stress out of a pressure-filled evening. The 7-month old retailer has an unorthodox approach to shopping: try before you buy. Through sampling, you learn about your preferences and palate. Combined with their exclusive technology, Taste Wine Company ensures you will always purchase the perfect bottle.
The store features preservation machines, stocked with an expansive 60 selections at any given time. Using a proprietary app, users activate the machines using points, tasting up to 6 wines per visit. Points are accumulated as guests rate, review and share the sampled wines on the app. The user ratings put the app’s algorithm to work so that it can offer recommendations for future visits. In addition, customers can purchase wines via the app and arrange for pickup or delivery, all with a few presses on a phone screen.
Taste Wine Company carries a selection of smaller-production, artisanal wines which entice every palate and price point. They also offer an array of events and classes in their classroom space. It’s your favorite neighborhood shop, elevated.

Saturday, February 6 – Chocolate and Wine Pairing with Roni-Sue’s Chocolates
Famed for their delectable treats such as beer pretzel caramels and cocktail truffles, acclaimed chocolatier Roni-Sue will offer samples of their unique creations. Taste Wine Company will pair select wines with these goodies for an unforgettable mix-and-match tasting.

The Romantic Reds class was designed around the sensual and romantic aspects of red, red wine. In the course of the evening, you will learn the proper way to smell and taste a wine, as we work together to pick out the hints of roses, violets, even chocolate, which are all scents typically associated with Valentine’s day. $30.
