Bob RoyceSONOMA, California (January 20, 2016) – Ned Hill, owner of La Prenda Vineyards Management in Sonoma County, and Matt Stornetta, operations manager at La Prenda, have hired Bob Royce as the first National Sales Representative for Sonoma Collection District 3 wines. (www.sonomawinegrowers.com).

With forty years in the wine industry, Bob Royce has accumulated an extensive knowledge of the successful operation of ultra-premium wineries. His experience includes the General Management and profitable restructuring of Lambert Bridge Winery in Dry Creek Valley, the conception and oversight of significant winery construction projects, tasting room/direct sales management, developing new packaging and promotional material, as well as pricing, brand launch and positioning.

Bob’s history records a series of successful management positions, which established a stronger market presence for each winery than they achieved before his tenure. The strategic plans drafted, and implemented for Chateau Montelena through Lambert Bridge were successful and acted as the long-term foundation of each of the wineries success today. Bob currently works with his own company, Robert Royce Wine Services.

“Bob’s addition to the District 3 team will allow us to fulfill the demand among national markets,” explained Stornetta. “He brings experience, knowledge and added respect to our team. Continuing the momentum we have been receiving is a familiar task for Bob and we are excited to be working with him.”

For a taste of the wines stop by the Cliff House in San Francisco, Cricklewood in Santa Rosa, The Depot Hotel in Sonoma as well as Palooza in Kenwood. If you’d like to purchase a bottle or two retailers include: Whole Foods (Sonoma County), Oliver’s Markets (Sonoma County), Paradise Foods (Marin County), Jackson Wine and Spirits (Lafayette), Sonoma Market, and Broadway Market (Sonoma).

Ned and Matt hired Alex Beloz (previously at Macrostie Winery) to be their consulting winemaker. They lease a facility in nearby Isleton to produce their wine. Keeping the wine prices low, they are able to provide their vineyard clients with good prices for their grapes. They hope the Sonoma Collection District 3 wines will create a solid market and generate long-term viability for their clients.

Sonoma Collection District 3 wines offer Pinot Noir, Red Wine and Chardonnay. The wines are produced by Ned Hill and Matt Stornetta. Suggested retail for all wines is under $20. The 2014 Sonoma Collection District 3 ‘Growers Reserve’ Sonoma Coast Chardonnay received 90 points from Wine Lines Online, while the 2013 Sonoma Collection Sonoma County District 3 ‘Growers Reserve’ Sonoma County Chardonnay scored 91 points from The Pinot File.
