The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa will host a “Super Sunday Football Tailgate” and broadcast the “Big Game” on its 12 big screens. The pre-game celebration starts at 11 a.m., where guests can bowl on one of the resorts six lanes and enjoy a selection of food and beverage selections from their special menu. The Napa Valley Marriott Hotel and Spa will showcase the Big Game from one of six televisions. The Grill at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa offers guests the opportunity to view the Big Game in a sports club atmosphere with its four oversized televisions. The Yountville Community Center in Yountville is hosting a “Watch Party” fundraiser on with six Pro Football Hall of Fame legends as hosts. The pre-game tailgate starts at noon with NFL Hall of Famers and other special guests for pre-game food, fun and libations. The Watch Party starts at 2:30 p.m. and features six exclusive lounge areas, each hosted by a Pro Football Hall of Famer, including Anthony Munoz; Jack Youngblood; Dave Wilcox; Willie Brown; Chris Dolman; and Joe DeLamielleure.
Each lounge includes food and beverage service and a 14-foot high definition video wall showing the Big Game. Lounges accommodate eight guests and are $5000 each. Individual seats are $500 each. In addition to the lounges, tables for eight are available for $1250. Table guests will receive a Hall of Fame ball cap and Sharpie markers for autographs. General admission is $75 per person and admission to the tailgate is $25 per person. There will also be a silent auction featuring a Hall of Fame 50th anniversary helmet, autographed by more than 16 Hall of Famers. The event is sponsored by the Yountville Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Yountville’s Tourism Improvement District. A portion of the net proceeds will benefit the Tug McGraw Foundation’s research and service programs focusing on traumatic brain injury. Tickets are available at www.yountville.com.
