The Stags Leap District Announces the Dates for the 2016 “Vineyard to Vintner” Weekend, Offering Rare Access to 19 Wineries

Visitors get backstage access to vintners’ private homes and legendary Stags Leap District wineries

Stags Leap District WinegrowersSTAGS LEAP DISTRICT, Napa, CA December 8, 2015 – The Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association (SLDWA) announced today that their annual ‘Vineyard to Vintner’ (V2V) weekend will take place April 29 through May 1, 2016, in the Stags Leap District of the Napa Valley. Vineyard to Vintner is a one-of-a-kind experience offering backstage access to vintners’ private homes and historic wineries. The weekend is packed with intimate library wine dinners, winery open houses, private tastings, and brunch with Stags Leap District owners and winemakers.

“V2V offers a truly unforgettable weekend,” said Michael Baldacci of Baldacci Family Vineyards and Board President of the Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association. “Visitors have told us time and time again that V2V provides unprecedented access to the people and the wines of the district, in a relaxed atmosphere.”

The Vineyard to Vintner weekend includes:

  • Exclusive Vintner-Hosted Library Wine Dinners: Friday, April 29, 2016 // 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Limited seating dinners offer an extraordinary food and wine experience, as winery owners and vintners dig deep into their cellars to share their most cherished library wines. Visitors are able to choose among four dinners created by four celebrated chefs at Chimney Rock Winery, Odette Estate Winery, Pine Ridge Vineyards, and Shafer Vineyards. Each venue provides an unforgettable night of world-class wines and neighborhood hospitality (each dinner is limited to only 45 people).

  • Back-Stage Open Houses: Saturday, April 30, 2016 // 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Visitors have access to all 19 Stags Leap District wineries, their winemakers and owners, as they wind their way up and down the Silverado Trail from one prestigious venue to the next. Attendees are given exclusive access while discovering winery caves, enjoying special barrel tastings, exploring cellars, and enjoying food and wine pairings.

  • Vintner-Hosted Brunch and Appellation Collection Tasting: Sunday, May 1, 2016 // 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM // Fare by Michelin-starred Meadowood Resort at Silverado Vineyards

Visitors are privy to the Association’s exclusive Appellation Collection, a compilation of 19 world-class Cabernet Sauvignons released annually in the fall. With festive music and delicious California cuisine, attendees also sip, swirl and stroll through Silverado Vineyards’ umbrella-filled plaza as they enjoy a selection of cold whites and exceptional brunch fare prepared by the famed Michelin-starred Meadowood Resort.

Tickets and Additional Information

“Vineyard to Vintner” tickets are released February 13, 2016. Prices range from $625 for a three-day pass, to $500 for a two-day pass (Friday/Saturday), $300 for a two-day pass (Saturday/Sunday), and $175 for a Saturday single-day pass. ‘Signature Wine Weekends for Two’ packages are available for $3,150 and include two passes for all three days of the event, the limited 2013 Appellation Collection of 19 Handcrafted 2013 SLD Designated Cabernet Sauvignons each signed exclusively by the vintners, and one Solle two-bottle jacquard and leather embossed wine tote.
