SANTA ROSA, Calif. (August 25, 2015) – More than 30 of the Russian River Valley’s most acclaimed wineries will gather for two tasting events in November celebrating the Russian River Valley’s bountiful array of vineyard designate wines.  Single Vineyard Night will showcase small lot wines hailing from single vineyards throughout the esteemed AVA, boasting rich flavors that perfectly display the distinct soil and climate of the region. The first evening will be in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Club at the Presidio on November 4th and the second is at Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in Sacramento on November 12. For a list of participating wineries and tickets visit the website at rrvw.org.

“The Russian River Valley has long been acclaimed for the varied soils and climates throughout the AVA,” says RRVW Manager, Shannon Wesley.  “Single vineyard wines can tell the story of the vineyard in which they were grown, expressing unique aromas and flavors.”

Overall, both events will be very similar; however, in San Francisco guests will get a taste of the Russian River Valley food scene with small bites from Spinster Sisters and artisan cheese by Freestone Artisan Cheese. In Sacramento, guests will enjoy bites from a local Sacramento area eatery. A silent auction at both venues will tempt attendees to bid on exclusive Russian River Valley experiences, which will include private tours and tastings and elegant overnight stays.  For collectors, a limited number of “Instant Cellar” raffle tickets will be sold, with the lucky winner walking away with over three cases of acclaimed Russian River Valley wines.

New in SF this year will be an invitation only seminar for Bay Area sommeliers that will feature an in depth discussion and tasting on wines from several Russian River Valley neighborhoods. An expert winemaker/grower panel will select wines from a vineyards he/she feels best embody the characteristics of each neighborhood. Moderated by Virginie Boone, Contributing Editor of the Wine Enthusiast, this exploration will be sure to ignite a lively tasting and discussion.

Additionally, in Sacramento we are offering a one-hour invitation only trade tasting component for key accounts and buyers in the Sacramento area. This is a great opportunity for trade to taste through a wide variety of RRV wines in one place and receive access to wine list placements not easily available otherwise.

A limited number of VIP Experience tickets are available.  VIP ticket holders enter one hour early and have the opportunity to taste limited release, tasting room only wines not being poured during General Admission. VIP Guests also receive one (1) Instant Cellar raffle ticket.

Both events: VIP entrance 5:30 p.m. and General Admission at 6:30 p.m. Early bird ticket pricing is available until September 10: VIP $70 and General Admission $45. After September 10: VIP $90, General Admission $60
