Opici Family Distributing Will Open New Virginia Distributor September 1, 2015
GLEN ROCK, NJ, AUGUST 10, 2015– Opici Family Distributing will expand its Mid-Atlantic distribution business with the launch of Opici Family Distributing of Virginia on September 1, 2015. The Virginia distributor will offer a portfolio of premium wines and spirits from around the world, including such noteworthy brands as Carpineto, Cesari, Clos de Siete, Opici, and Weygandt wines.
“Following our launch into the Mid-Atlantic region with an eye toward long-term expansion, opening a Virginia distributor was the next logical step,” said Dina Opici, president of Opici Family Distributing. “We have found much success in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we’re thrilled to join the thriving wine and spirits industry of Virginia.”
Brian Lewis will serve as general manager of Opici Family Distributing of Virginia, in addition to his current responsibilities overseeing Opici’s Connecticut and Mid-Atlantic distribution companies. Brian has been with Opici for 8 years but has spent the past 25 years in the wholesale distribution business, beginning his career at Slocum & Sons and most recently at Central Distributors of Maine prior to joining Opici. Mark Congdon will report to Brian as General Sales Manager of both the Virginia and Washington D.C. territories. He brings 15 years of industry experience through his previous roles at J.W. Sieg in Virginia and Washington, D.C. and Prestige Beverage Group in Washington, D.C.

Opici Family Distributing of Virginia will join Opici’s growing distribution business, which includes operations in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C.
