HEALDSBURG, Calif., June 11, 2015 – Breathless Wines today announced it will launch a crowdfunding campaign in September to build a tasting room in Healdsburg, California. Use of the space will be donated quarterly to Breathless’ non-profits partners for fundraising and educational events.
Breathless was founded in 2011 by three sisters—Cynthia Faust, Rebecca Faust and Sharon Cohn—and with over 20 Best of Class, Gold and 90+ point ratings between its three wines, it is recognized as one of the most distinguished sparkling wine brands today.
The Breathless Wines label was launched as a tribute to the sisters’ mother, Martha. “We wanted to do something in her honor. It was all about our breathless moments with her, being involved in the community, and giving back,” said Sharon Cohn.
Breathless, with award-winning winemaker Penny Gadd-Coster, produces 1,500 cases annually of Brut, Blanc de Noirs and Brut Rosé, and contributes a significant portion of its proceeds to more than one dozen non-profit partners.
One such organization is Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County. Each year, Breathless Wines is a sponsor of “Wine, Women & Shoes”, a major fundraiser for the foundation which last year raised over $400,000 to improve healthcare access.
“Breathless is a wonderful partner for the Healthcare Foundation,” said Pat Callahan, Executive Director of Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County. “They care about their community and are not just willing, but excited to support our cause and help out in any way they can. I can’t wait to see the new tasting room and sip their delicious bubbles in the new setting!”
