Walt Lobster Feed Returns for 3rd Year – Bob’s Ranch Vineyard to Host Summer Pinot Noir Event


lobster_logo_3Leading Pinot Noir brand, WALT, has announced the date for its 3rd annual Lobster Feed on Saturday, July 11. Located at the WALT Estate Vineyard called Bob’s Ranch, the event will feature newly released wines paired with fresh Maine Lobster. The 74-acre winery and vineyard was purchased in 2014 on Highway 116 between the 101 and Sebastopol.

“What goes better during the summer than wine with lobster,” says vintner Kathryn Walt Hall. “We are thrilled to have this WALT vineyard in these beautiful, rolling hills to host this event – my father Bob whom the site was named after years ago would be so proud.”

Featured 2013 WALT wines poured during the Lobster Feed include Dutton Ranch Chardonnay, La Brisa Pinot Noir and Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir. Additionally, Vintner Kathryn Walt Hall, WALT Winemaker Megan Gunderson and Tasting Room Manager Thrace Bromberger will be on-site to share background and philosophy on the highly acclaimed luxury wine brand.

Bob’s Ranch is a 74 acre Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyard located just off Highway 116 between the 101 and Sebastopol and is named after Kathryn Hall’s father, Bob Walt. The vineyard is located in a cool, coastal area known as the Russian River Valley. The region is well-recognized for the cool-climate Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that are produced there. A gap in the coastal mountains allows the cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean to pour through the gap and blow off the morning fog, leading to warm, sunny afternoons.
