Two Napa Valley Legends Team Up To Offer Wine and Food Pairings
Charles Krug Winery and renowned The Model Bakery are collaborating for a celebration of food and wine at the legendary winery in St. Helena, the heart of the Napa Valley. Charles Krug will open the doors of its award winning Redwood Cellar Tasting Room to offer guests a complimentary tasting paired with tasty treats from The Model Bakery. Taking place from 12-2PM, the event will showcase fashionable fare paired with one specially selected wine from the Charles Krug portfolio, highlighting The Model Bakery’s standout bites and top quality wines from Napa Valley. Owners of The Model Bakery Karen Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell Hansen will also be on site to greet guests and sell signed copies of their highly acclaimed book, The Model Bakery Cookbook: 75 Favorite Recipes from the Beloved Napa Valley Bakery.
Onsite Visuals: Built in 1872, the newly restored Redwood Cellar Tasting Room and Hospitality Center is a warm, inviting space blending heritage with contemporary design. The National Historical Landmark features reclaimed clear heart redwood from the family’s original wine tanks, stone and open beam construction, a glass wall providing views of the working Family Reserve cellar, and a large welcoming bar and lounge recently recognized for Architecture and Landscape Design by Best of Wine Tourism for the San Francisco and Napa Valley Region.

The Charles Krug Winery, Napa Valley’s oldest winery, was established by Prussian immigrant Charles Krug in 1861.
