Napa, CA, April 27, 2015 — CK Mondavi Family Vineyards announced today the winery is devoting 2015 to the American farmer in honor of their grape growing relationships. CK Mondavi has been making American wines for more than seventy years and remains 100% American grown, produced and bottled–a rarity within this wine category and price range. To date, CK Mondavi remains the only wine to be Made in USA Certified®.

“There is no way we could remain 100% American grown and produced without our growers,” said Marc Mondavi, Proprietor of CK Mondavi Family Vineyards. “Most of our growers have been working with my family for generations and their hard work allows us to continue to produce top quality wines, while remaining true to our American-made commitment that has been in place for more than seventy years.”

While a large portion of the grapes in CK Mondavi wines are grown on the family’s 1,850 acres of vineyards, CK Mondavi sources additional fruit from many key American growers in California. The majority of these growers have been partners with the Peter Mondavi Sr. family for generations and work with the winery to ensure that all CK Mondavi wines are consistent, vintage-to-vintage.

As Jerry Haugg of Triple H Farming in Manteca, CA, says, “We have been working with the Mondavi family since the 1950s and we continue to enjoy a close relationship with them. The Mondavi family has been with us in the good times and the bad times, and it’s a good partnership that we value. I can’t say enough about what the Mondavi’s mean to this area and what they mean to us.”

Jim Molles of Molles Vineyard in Lodi, CA, is a third generation grape grower who says his relationship with the Mondavi family is a true partnership. “I feel appreciated and I’m not just treated like a number. It’s a close relationship that both parties don’t take for granted,” says Molles.

CK Mondavi will feature the growers on their website and across their social media outlets throughout 2015 as a way to raise awareness of the importance of producing and purchasing American made products. For more information and additional grower stories, visit ckmondavi.com/growers.

CK Mondavi will also continue their partnership with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) in 2015. Their fourth annual donation program will kick off nationwide on May 1 and will run through the end of August. The CK Mondavi Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund program provides financial assistance to the injured men and women of the Armed Forces and their families through their support of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
