On Sunday, April 19, 2015, neighboring St. Helena properties HALL Wines and Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer are collaborating to introduce a fresh and contemporary art ‘Hop-Up’ experience during Arts in April. With art installations of rabbits at both the winery and hotel, including the 35-ft Bunny Foo-Foo at HALL St. Helena and as part of the 26-piece sculpture garden at Harvest Inn, it’s only fitting that the two Napa Valley destinations partner up for a joint cultural experience during April’s month-long Napa Valley arts promotion coined a Hop-Up due to the shared rabbit theme.
Guests will enjoy a guided art tour and tasting at both properties along with an afternoon of artist talks from Jim Campbell at HALL and Bay Area sculptors Joanna Kidd, Peter Dreyfuss, Wayne Shaffer and Lauren O’Connor-Korb, as well as sculpture garden curator Amanda Klimek, at Harvest Inn. The afternoon will conclude with a wine and cheese reception on the Vineyard View Terrace at Harvest Inn overlooking the vineyards.
“Art is embedded into our everyday culture,” says vintner Kathryn Walt Hall. “We are surrounded by art in every possible way – the land, the grapes, food, culture and people. What better way to showcase all that Napa has to offer than through Arts in April and with friends at Harvest Inn.”
“From the Mayacamas Mountains to the expansive vineyards, St. Helena is surrounded by natural beauty,” says Chef and Hotelier Charlie Palmer. “We’re excited to partner with our Highway 29 neighbor to showcase the art components at both properties and celebrate the talent of local artists along with the stunning natural landscapes of the Napa Valley.”
HALL & Harvest Inn present a Hop-Up experience during Napa Valley’s Arts in April month. Both properties will showcase a brief tour, tasting and art discussion featuring artists that have pieces at the respective properties.
HALL St. Helena has invited acclaimed artist Jim Campbell to share insight into his contemporary LED Light installation in the modern Tasting Room, and Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer has invited Sculpture Garden Artists Joanna Kidd, Peter Dreyfus, Lauren O’Connor-Korb, Wayne Shaffer, and Curator Amanda Klimek to engage in a panel discussion.

ABOUT HARVEST INNN BY CHARLIE PALMER
Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer is an idyllic resort designed to celebrate the vineyard way of life, with 74 luxurious accommodations nestled into four uniquely crafted neighborhoods, two secluded swimming pools, and a plush spa with indoor and outdoor facilities. Surrounded by the lush landscaping of expansive clipped lawns and serene shaded groves, partially forested by towering redwoods, Harvest Inn also is home to gardens of agricultural botanicals. Although well situated in proximity to the hub of activity in historic St Helena, Harvest Inn offers picturesque privacy and a “let’s get lost” feeling of total relaxation. In classic California fashion, the architecture and land are in harmony, making Harvest Inn an integral part of the terrain. The distinctive mixing of heritage and modern style seen in the richly stained wood, leaded glass panels, and exterior stone as well as Tudor stucco with timber framing adds up to a storybook setting that is both rustic and elegant. As comfortable as it is beautiful, Harvest Inn welcomes both families and friends with its charming warmth and friendly ambiance. For more details or reservations, visit harvestinn.com.
HALL produces critically acclaimed artisan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, available to taste and buy at two tasting room and winery locations in Napa Valley. Owned by Craig and Kathryn Walt Hall, its vineyard collection features five Certified Organic estates producing classic Bordeaux varietals. Each vintage, Director of Winemaking Steve Leveque crafts 16 distinct Cabernet Sauvignon wines which demonstrate the unique characteristics and diversity of Napa Valley. HALL’s highly rated wines include the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon selected as Wine Spectator’s #18 of the 2010 ‘Top 100’, the 2008 “Kathryn Hall” Cabernet Sauvignon that earned #2 of the “Top 100” Wines also in Wine Spectator, and its 2010 ‘Exzellenz’ awarded 100 points by Robert Parker, Wine Advocate. Since the first vintage in 2002, over 75 HALL wines have been rated 94 points and above. HALL employs high-density plantings and small vine viticulture combined with two cutting-edge, gravity-flow wineries to produce the highest quality wines. In addition, the HALL St. Helena winery was the first LEED® Gold Certified Winery in the State of California in 2009 and earned another LEED® Gold certification for its high tech production facility and modern tasting room in 2014, making HALL pioneers in the use of green buildings for the wine industry. Each of HALL’s state-of-the-art winemaking facilities and tasting rooms combine modern art and architecture matched with spectacular settings.
