Stars of NapaManhattan Beach, Calif. – After nine years of hosting its annual Ultimate Wine Festival, Manhattan Beach’s only luxury boutique hotel, Shade, today announced plans to partner with wineLA to host the area’s first annual STARS of Napa Valley Wine Festival on Thursday, March 26. With 40 notable wineries set to participate in the festivities, Shade Hotel will expect to welcome hundreds of wine enthusiasts in celebration of Napa Valley’s most coveted wines.

Among the elite list of wineries showcasing their most popular pours are Quintess; Alpha Omega; Trefethen; Heitz; Frank Family Vineyards; Barnett Vineyards; Bougetz Cellars; Black Stallion; Signorello Estate; Kenzo Estate; ZD Wines; Entre Nous Wines; Lail Vineyards; and Inglenook.

In addition to the wineries confirmed to attend Shade Hotel’s first STARS of Napa Valley Wine Festival, regular admission at $125 per ticket (for advance ticket sales) will include an elegant assortment of tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and a number of lofty auction items to bid on. Auction items will range from $250 to $2,000. One hundred percent of silent auction proceeds will benefit Manhattan Beach Middle School.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. with a limited number of VIP 6:15 p.m. admission tickets available for $175 per person. This event is limited to 350 guests and, similar to Shade’s past wine events, is expected to sell out immediately.

“Being the only luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan Beach, Shade owners Michael Zislis and Milo Bacic pride themselves on continuously building relationships with top-tier winemakers in the industry with the hope that our guests will be able to reap the benefits through our regular wine events,” said Shaunna McKelvey, General Manager of Shade Hotel. “With this being our first year working with wineLA, we’re thrilled to be bringing a number of different wineries to Shade for the enjoyment of our guests.”

About wineLA

wineLA is about enhancing the wine culture of Los Angeles. To do so, wine must be in rhythm with fashion, music, food and other beverages.  It must take advantage of the geography, the architecture and the centers of interest. Los Angeles is a giant playground with an amazing array of venues, spaces, wine bars, restaurants, beaches, roof tops, gardens, and magical views. We want to be a part of the LA lifestyle, the wine lifestyle, and celebrate the people, the place and the passion.

wineLA hosts significant events, occasional classes, and tastings of merit. This is phase two of what we started 20 years ago at LearnAboutWine.com – America’s first wine education website and first in wine event creation.
