Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation Hosts the Industry’s Most Comprehensive Farmworker Education Workshop

Napa Valley GrapegrowersNapa, Ca, March 2 – This Thursday and Friday, March 5 & 6, the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation hosts the 8th annual “Farmworker Education Workshop” at the Harvest Inn in St. Helena.  This unique two-day workshop is the industry’s most comprehensive educational program for Napa Valley vineyard workers with a focus on increasing quality, providing advanced leadership, communication and management skills, and more.  Sessions are taught in Spanish.

“This year’s line-up is collectively the best program we have ever assembled.  I am really excited for our company’s workforce to participate in the event, as I am confident it will elevate the skill sets of everyone who attends”, said Arnulfo Solorio of Silverado Farming Company and Chair of the Napa Valley Farmworker Education Committee.

Presentations will be given by industry leaders on topics including: Effective Communication, Leadership and Management Skills for Farmworkers; Vineyard Nematodes – Identification and Management; The Benefits of Soil Health in the Vineyard; Hydrology & Climate Change; Health & Nutrition for the Family, Immigration Benefits; and more.
