Castle Rock Winery Appoints Stephen Ross as Vice President, Sales Manager Western Region

Castle Rock WineryCastle Rock Winery is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Ross to the position of Vice President, Sales Manager Western Region with effect from January 19, 2015.  In this role he will report to Dick Reeves, Castle Rock’s Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager.

Mr. Ross has had a broad career in the wine business, having started his career with Southern Wine & Spirits, where he served as a Territory Manager, District Manager for Chains and On/Off Premise Sales Manager. He subsequently transitioned to Banfi  Vintners where he was District Manager, Chains and Merchandizing for California and Nevada,  and National Accounts Manager – Off Sale. He recently completed an assignment as Regional Sales Director for Aveniu Brands.

“We are very excited to be working with Stephen”, says Castle Rock Founder and President Greg Popovich. “He is an outstanding Sales Professional and will be a key team member as we continue to grow our sales in California and other Western markets.”

Castle Rock Winery currently sells approximately 500,000 cases of wine a year from a number of highly-regarded appellations on the West Coast from Paso Robles to Columbia Valley in Washington, and has set for itself the goal of doubling case sales by 2020.  The wines are made from grapes purchased under long-term contracts with well-established growers. In its twenty years of operations, Castle Rock has developed a reputation for producing wines which compete on quality with wines costing two or three times as much.
