New York, NY (November 14, 2014) – The T.J. Martell Foundation announced today that it will honor legendary rock group RUSH and Doug Shafer, CEO of Shafer Vineyards, at the 11th-Annual World Tour of Wine on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Capitale (130 Bowery) in New York.
Each year, wine enthusiasts and collectors come together to raise glasses and funds for cutting edge Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS research. Guests and celebrities enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime evening of rare tastings from some of the most exclusive private cellars in the country and a five-course gourmet meal while toasting the Foundation’s achievements in research.
The World Tour of Wine is a unique tasting event, as each table has a “wine host” and features collections of wines from that host rather than the entire event tasting wines provided by a few select vineyards. The event will also feature a silent and live auction featuring several all-inclusive trips to wine country and very rare experiences in music and sports entertainment.
