Maryland Wine Festival, Oldest State Wine Festival, Coming to Carroll County This September

Event will Feature over 30 Maryland Wines, over 50 Arts and Crafts Vendors and Newly Added Cheese Pavilion

Maryland Wine Ask ForAugust 31, 2016 (Baltimore, MD) – Over 20,000 people are expected to attend the Maryland Wine Festival, now in its 31st year! So whether you like a sparkling white, a smooth red, a tasty rose or something in between, there is something for everyone at the Maryland Wine Festival set to take place at Carroll County Farm Museum (500 South Center Street in Westminster) on Saturday, September 17 from 10 am- 6 pm and on Sunday, September 18 from 11 am- 6 pm. This weekend long event, sponsored by the Maryland Wineries Association, will feature wine tastings from over 30 wineries from all across the state as well as live music, arts and crafts vendors, food and an opportunity to explore the historic Carroll County Farm Museum.  General Admission tickets are $30, Explorer Pass upgraded tickets are $50 and children 12 and under are admitted free. (discounted tickets are available for designated drivers and those under 21). This year the event will feature a Maryland Cheese Pavilion highlighting Free State cheeses and will be open to the public.  In addition, the upgraded Explorer Pass will allow guests to access to an exclusive tent featuring premium label wines, private seating, private bathrooms, complimentary water and more.

About the Maryland Wineries Association

The Maryland Wineries Association is a non-profit trade organization representing Maryland’s 70+ wineries. Founded in 1984, the MWA’s mission is to develop and expand the grape and wine industry in Maryland through events, education and promotion. From the Eastern Shore to mountains of Western Maryland, and south to St. Mary’s County, wine is growing throughout Maryland.
